On September 29, 2019 at approximately 6:45 PM a deputy from the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a 2019 Ford F-250 on US Highway 20 near Picabo, Idaho.
The vehicle was stopped for exceeding the post speed limit. The driver, later identified as Craig W. Huff, age 30, of Mackay, Idaho was uncooperative with the deputy and provided a fake name and refused to provide a driver’s license.
Huff was arrested for Resisting and Obstructing an Officer pursuant to Idaho Code 18-705. Upon further investigation, deputies determined that the vehicle was stolen out of Elko, Nevada. Once Huff’s true identity was established, Huff was also charged with Providing False Information to an Officer pursuant to Idaho Code 18-5413 and Driving without Privileges pursuant to Idaho Code 18-8001, all misdemeanors.
Huff was also charged with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, pursuant to Idaho Code 49-228, a Felony. Huff also had arrest warrants from Bingham County, Jerome County, Twin Falls County and Missoula, Montana.
Huff is scheduled to be arraigned on September 30, 2019 at 1:30 PM
